ग़णानाम् त्वा गणपतिम् हवामहे कविम् कविनामुपमश्रवस्त्मम्।
ज्येष्ठराजम् ब्रह्मणाम् ब्रह्मणस्पत् आ नः शृण्वनूतिभिः सीद सादनम्
॥ महागणपतय् नमः॥
ġaṇānām tvā gaṇapatim havāmahe kavim kavināmupamaśravastmam |
jyeṣṭharājam brahmaṇām brahmaṇaspat ā naḥ śṛṇvanūtibhiḥ sīeeda sādanam
|| mahāgaṇapataey namaḥ ||

ġaṇānām tvā gaṇapatim havāmahe 
The leader of the host of Mantras we invoke thee
kavim kavināmupamaśravastmam |
A superb poet among poets, who causes thehearing of divine inspiration.
jyeṣṭharājam brahmaṇām brahmaṇaspat
The leader, the lord of chants, may he hear usand 
ā naḥ śṛṇvanūtibhiḥ sīeeda sādanam
May he manifest himself in us with his protections.

mahāgaṇapataey namaḥ
Salutation to the great Ganapati.

NOTE in Vedic Literature three dieties namely Brahma,Brhaspati and Brahmanaspati
are often spoken of, but these three words mean the same one Deity.This very deity is called 
Ganesh,The popular elephant faced GOD in Puranic literature.

We give here Ganapati Stavah with meaning For the beginnrs.

अजम् निर्विकल्पम् निराकारमेकम्
निरानन्दमानन्दमद्वैतपुर्णम्।
परम् निर्गुणम् निर्विशेषम् निरीहम्
परब्रह्मरुपम् गणेशम् भजेम॥

aja nirvikalpama nirākāarameka
nirānandamānandamadvaitapurṇam |
param nirguṇam nirviśeṣam nirīham
parabrahmarupam gaṇeśam bhajema ||

We offer our worship to lord Ganesha. who is unborn,Absolute and Formless; who is beyond bliss 
and yet is bliss itself. the one infinite : who is supreme without attributes , differentiation and desire; 
and who is truely the supreme Brahaman.

ग़ुणातीतमानम् चिदानन्दरुपम्
चिदाभासकम् सर्वगम् ग्यानगम्यम्।
मुनिध्येयमाकाशरुपम् परेशम्
परब्रह्मरुपम् गनेशम् भजेम्॥
ġuṇātīītamānam cidānandarupam
cidābhāsakam sarvagam gyānagamyam |
munidhyeyamākāśarupam pareśam
parabrahmarupam ganeśam bhajem ||

We offer our worship to lord Ganesha, whose nature is beyond attributes, who is embodiment of
intelligence and Bliss. The efflugent Sprit, the all pervading , that which is goal of knowledge; who
is the object of meditation to the sages,Formless and Omnipresent like space;andwho is the supreme 
Lord, the Supreme Brahaman.

जगत्कारण् कारणज्ञानरुपम् 
सुरादिम् सुखादिम् गुणेशम् गणेशम्।
जगद्वयापिनम् विश्ववन्द्यम् सुरेशम् 
परब्रह्मरुपम् गणेश्म् भजेम्॥
jagatkāraṇ kāraṇajñāānarupam 
surādim sukhādim guṇeśam gaṇeśam |
jagadvayāpinam viśvavandyam sureśam 
parabrahmarupam gaṇeśam bhajem ||

We offer our worship to lord Ganesha, who is the cause of the world, The Primal Knowledge, the origin 
of Gods,The bliss, the lordof heavenly hosts; who pervades the universe and is worshipped by all; who is
lord of gods and who is truly the supreme Brahaman.
